The BD S8 Spectral Cell Sorter with Imaging software upgrade has landed adding new functionality for researchers! Our BD FACSDiscover™ S8 is now running FACSChorus™ v6.1, unlocking new capabilities for high-parameter spectral sorting with imaging.
The highlights?
Researchers can now sort 6 ways from all supported nozzles opening the door to more experimental flexibility across a wider range of cell types, volumes, and conditions.
Researchers can purify populations of cells for longer and without interruption with 15ml and 50ml collection device options enabled.
Whether you're doing gentle sorts on fragile cells, single cell sorts, or high-throughput work, you're no longer limited by nozzle choice or collection device. Also new with v6.1, streamlined matrix setup and improved template sharing between instruments.
The upgraded technical configuration enables 6 streams of valuable cells to be sorted simultaneously from all configurations increasing throughput and efficiency. Shown below in the image are 6 unique streams of cell trajectories along with the central discarded stream
