PrecisionGo at Sydney Health Partners ReConX2025 - 'Building Researcher and Consumer Connections'

Today, four members of the PrecisionGo Consumer Advisory Committee attended the Sydney Health Partners hashtag#ReConX2025 conference, with the theme 'Building Researcher and Consumer Connections'. It brought together consumers who are interested in research with researchers from our Clinical Academic Groups who are seeking to better understand how to effectively engage consumers in their projects. Stephen Poole (pictured far left) and Roshni Sharma (standing next to Stephen) were on a panel at the conference discussing real life examples of consumers and researchers working well together in partnership, why consumers think they need to be “research-ready”, and what researchers think looking “consumer-ready” is like. In attendance also were Willy Bagatcholon (next to Roshni) and Christo van Rensburg (pictured far right).

Meaningful consumer engagement is a critical part of PrecisionGo to ensure that future patients have simple, useful and accessible care with precision medicine and that marginalised peoples and communities don't fall through the gaps and get missed.
