PrecisionGo Proof of Principle Trials

  • PrecisionGo is an MRFF-funded fully integrated, national precision medicine platform - streamlining design, execution, and translation, while also shaping the future of how precision medicine is delivered in Australia. The PrecisionGo Proof-of-Principle Trials is an opportunity for projects with existing funding to accelerate their projects through PrecisionGo’s integrated end-to-end pipelines with the advanced technologies across the integrated Westmead Research Hub core facilities (Histology, Genomics, Proteomics, Cytometry, Bioresources, Imaging, Biobanking, and Bioinformatics) and digital platform. The purpose of these trials is to:

    • Demonstrate feasibility of running integrated, end-to-end precision medicine projects

    • Test coordinated use of multiple scientific platforms and digital infrastructure

    • Generate learning that strengthens national translational research capability

  • Successful applicants will receive In-kind support and access valued at up to $100,000 that includes:

    • Across 2027-2028, priority access to WRH Core Scientific Platforms services and technologies (instrument usage and equipment time, including discounted kits and reagents for PrecisionGo pipelines) across WRH Core Facilities (histology, genomics, proteomics, cytometry, imaging and biobanking) to a value of $30,000.

    • Structured use of the PrecisionGo Digital Platform for data integration, analysis, and reporting with dedicated technical expertise (includes up to $35,000 time across the 2 years each from dedicated Bioinformatician and dedicated Data Engineer)

    • Coordinated project oversight to support delivery, quality, and compliance

    • Visibility for project outcomes through PrecisionGo networks and communications

    ‍ ‍

Applications are welcomed by projects using any amount up to the $100,000 value.

By taking part, you will not only advance your own research but also help refine and optimise PrecisionGo’s integrated model, shaping how integrated infrastructure can overcome the fragmentation, delays, and inconsistencies often encountered in precision medicine research.

  • Please submit this completed application by emailing a completed form and all related attachments to precisiongo@wimr.org.au by the closing date: 11:59 pm (AEST) on Wednesday 30 September, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Email precisiongo@wimr.org.au for enquiries or questions.

Additional resources, including detailed descriptions of the PrecisionGo end-to-end pipelines, are available on the PrecisionGo website (see 'Capabilities’ page).
