Collaborating with OurDNA for more inclusive genomic datasets

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the team from OurDNA - a national initiative working to build more inclusive genomic datasets by engaging underrepresented communities across Australia (https://ourdna.org.au/) - to the Westmead Biobank at the The Westmead Institute for Medical Research.

What makes this collaboration so meaningful isn’t just the science - it’s the shared values that underpin our work. Both OurDNA and Westmead Biobank are deeply committed to ensuring that advances in genomics and biobanking translate into equitable health outcomes, particularly in creating access for multicultural communities.

The impact of OurDNA’s work in creating access for these communities aligns perfectly with the mission of PrecisionGo and the Westmead Biobank to connect data, technology, and people in ways that serve the whole of society, not just those already well represented. Together, we’re shaping a future where cutting-edge research delivers benefits for everyone.

We’re excited about what lies ahead as we continue to build on this partnership, grounded in trust, collaboration, and a shared belief in inclusivity.
