Westmead Biobank Facility at the ABNA National Conference 2025
Last week, two of our Biobanking team attended the ABNA National Conference. The importance of these gatherings are not just sharing of knowledge, but to meet old and new friends and understand the potential of biobanking - not only about human samples, but also Antarctic ice cores and environmental archives. They were also interested to learn more about the consent side of biobanking, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the implications of having strong and uniform quality management practices to enable strong, sustainable growth for biobanking across Australia and the world.
Here they are with one of their posters - say hi to Ira Fortun and Ya Wang!
