🌟 Upcoming Event: Getting to the bottom of intestinal disease through genomics 🌟

We’re excited to invite you to a special seminar and workshop as part of the WIMR Digital Research Skills Network.

πŸ—“οΈ Tuesday 10th September

πŸ“ Westmead Institute for Medical Research & online (register at https://lnkd.in/gHSJkiXP)

Seminar (11am – 12pm):

Dr Kylie James (Head, Gut Immunogenomics Laboratory, Garvan Institute of Medical Research) will explore how environmental factors shape gut immune cells and microbial landscapes in health and disease, including inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.

Workshop (1pm – 3pm):

Dr Jacqueline Tearle will share hands-on insights into single-cell and multi-omic techniques, including RNA sequencing, 16S microbial sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics, applied to rare IBD subtypes and early-onset colorectal cancer.

πŸ₯— Lunch provided from 12pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from leading researchers applying cutting-edge genomics and bioinformatics to understand complex intestinal diseases.
