🚀 Calling all bioinformaticians! Come join us at the frontier of precision medicine!
We’re thrilled to share that The Westmead Institute for Medical Research is recruiting a PrecisionGo Bioinformatician to help build the future of how we understand and treat disease. If you’ve been looking for a chance to make an impact, this could be your moment.
What’s so exciting about this role?
You’ll work on multi-omics + spatial + imaging pipelines - from sequencing through to integrating data from cytometry, transcriptomics, imaging etc.
You’ll be part of the PrecisionGo Digital Platform, helping to create reproducible, scalable workflows that connect genetics/molecular data to clinical insights.
It’s a chance to work with a collaborative, supportive team. You’ll liaise with clinicians and researchers, troubleshoot real challenges, and contribute meaningfully to research outcomes that could translate into better patient care.
Who we’re looking for:
We want someone who is:
technically minded, with ~2+ years research or applied experience in bioinformatics or genomics etc. (don’t worry if you don’t check every box)
comfortable across multiple data types and tools (Python, R, image-based, HPC, version control etc.)
a strong communicator, curious, proactive, excited to learn and grow in a dynamic research environment.
If this sounds like your kind of challenge - or even 60% of it - I strongly encourage you to apply. It’s rare to find something that touches so many cutting-edge technologies and has a real translational impact.
📅 Applications close 31 October 2025.
